I imagine Loyal has a pretty close relationship with his circus animals. I can’t say I’m any good at drawing tigers, but I tried.

I made two versions with different eye/facepaint styles—the one he had in his Gaia debut and the version in Fayren’s recent sketches. I just couldn’t decide which one to go with so I’m…making you look at the same picture four times.

I doodled this GW Loyal yesterday (sorry more GW stuff) and then sat on it because I didn’t like it yet, thinking maybe I’d be able to see it more objectively today. But I’m still not crazy about it but I’ll post it anyway, mostly because I want to talk about how much I love this Sylvari face option. It’s so exotic and beautiful, but not beautiful in the way you’d expect. …also it kind of reminds me of turians. > _>

Thank you guys for being so supportive of my sketching. T uT Here’s some more pages. Working in ballpoint and a brush pen. It’s somewhat liberating, knowing that I can’t erase, but makes for lots of mistakes. Gotta move on though!
For those who asked, yes this is Loyal, kinda. I’ve been kind of wanting an invisible man character of my own though that I can torment I mean write with. So I’ve been experimenting with slight variations in his design for some fun.
So I decided to try and draw on paper again while at Jpop summit this weekend, and was mostly unsuccessful. This is quite possibly the first time in… I actually don’t even remember how long. I am always embarrassed at how weak I am on just plain sketching traditionally, and I’m even embarrassed of these. But I’m posting them anyway so I can hopefully look back and cringe see how much i’ve improved.
And the original Ringmaster drawing that started it all~~ with the new background treatment I made for prints.
Back when I was designing him, I almost made him with a blue theme. But I’m glad I ultimately went with cream and yellow.
