This game is finally out! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever to show you guys these. I did all of the character art for Monster Galaxy: Exile, a new game for iPhone. Exile is an expansion and continuation of the journey in Zodiac Islands through a much darker world. Here is the Craftsman, one of the earlier characters you meet. I did a page for Gaia’s latest storybook chapter that came out today~ * u* I was so excited to be able to do work for the manga again.
Sorry for all the convention posts recently. Here’s some art to balance it out! This is another character I designed for Heralds of Chaos, the Battlemaster. Here are some various stages in her design, including really rough sketches with different armor and hair, some color flats, and then a fairly finished WIP. Later I will post her final art!
Some time ago I illustrated an alternate take on the Peter Pan story for Gaia. There were more panels than this but these were some of my favorite.
I’ve been lucky enough recently to have been able to work on a game that I am very excited for. It has pushed me artistically, and it’s been awesome working with such a talented and enthusiastic art team that just really has a passion for trying to make a beautiful, illustrative, 2d game.
This is art of one of the characters I worked on as he actually appears in game. This illustration is actually a fully articulated puppet that can be posed and animated, allowing us to bring fully painted characters to life. You can check out the results in our early teaser of the game we just posted. I look forward to revealing more of the artwork I’ve been able to create for it! Back when I was designing him, I almost made him with a blue theme. But I’m glad I ultimately went with cream and yellow.
So I had to draw a robot for Gaia and the unexpected totally predictable thing happened.
The TFP bot designs are clearly a huge inspiration for me, not just for robots but for armor and character designs alike. It’s just more obvious when its robots. > o>
Also I have been looking at Iron Man a lot.
Agh things have been so busy lately as I prep for Fanime, so I haven’t had too much time to draw new things. Here are some characters I designed for a Gaia CI quite some time ago! One is pretty reminiscent of Kalle if anyone remembers him. c:
